Each of my paintings begins with an idea, something I am contemplating; I start with a guiding sketch, and apply layers of washes, each one adding to the depth and boldness of color. I may leave and return to a painting multiple times in order to gain fresh perspective, working until I am satisfied the painting is finished.
The actual painting measures approximately 6.25x4 inches, surrounded by a white mat measuring 1.5-1.75 inches. It is framed in 1/2 inch deep metal frame with a soft bronze finish. All materials are archival. I sign each piece and include a copy of my artist statement with every painting.
To preserve the true color of your painting, please do not hang in direct sunlight.
